Welcome to Gaiana Guides, a blog about Earth-friendly living, sustainable habits, and nature-inspired home décor. I’ve named this blog after Gaia, the personification of Mother Earth from Greek Mythology.
I’m Irene, and I’ve spent my whole career working in sustainability. Along the way, I’ve learned a lot through my degree, my professional work, and my personal life about how to live more mindfully without chasing perfection. This blog is where I share those lessons with you.
I believe sustainability is about progress, not perfection. Small, mindful shifts in our everyday lives, like making the most of what we already own, or bringing a little nature indoors, can make a big difference over time. Gaiana Guides is here to make those ideas feel approachable, inspiring, and, enjoyable.
A few facts about me
- I believe that the choices we make, from what we buy and use to what we throw away, can shape the world around us.
- I’m happiest when I’m out in nature, whether that’s hiking, wandering through botanical gardens, or visiting the coast.
- I’m a believer in imperfect environmentalism: we don’t have to do everything, or do it perfectly, to make a difference.
